The desire to create a realistic assistant
Latest update: 9 May 2022
Difficulty project:

É un progetto bottom-up!

I think that every electronics enthusiast has at least once thought of creating their own robotic assistant ... with the thought it is much less easy in reality.
OTUS is a project that does not aim much, it is more a sort of laboratory for experiments, sharing and teaching.
It's a bottom-up project! That is: I have these parts how do I use them?
It started like this ... then its complexity increased with failures and successes according to the most traditional of growth paths.
Some objectives were clear from the beginning, such as being able to have free movement within confined spaces or outdoors, but above all being able to implement small autonomous functions.
The manual control is also present for the necessary tuning of the various algorithms and sensors.
Many points still remain to be developed, such as autonomous charging or a WiFi connection to improve the bandwidth of transferable data, or the ...
If any group of enthusiasts or schools would like to learn more I would be happy to take it .... I am also available for free demonstrations, always within sustainable geographical distances.
For information purposes you will find wiring diagrams and sources of the entire project.

WHAT DOES IT DO AT THE PRESENT MOMENT?
  • It moves in all directions, even fast, avoiding obstacles, holes and flying stuff!
  • It recognizes objects and things.
  • It has low consumption.
  • It has multimedia support
  • Use visible and infrared photography like any other sensor ...
  • It has full wireless remote control
  • It has a LED banner for reporting
  • Create 2D and 3D environment maps
  • Guard an environment!
