DAQ
A smart debug system

When developing new code for an embedded system, you may encounter difficulties in troubleshooting or debugging.
The classic debugging methods do not help when we have to work with images or with large amounts of acquired data deriving from ADC or similar.
In order to solve these difficulties and reduce development times, a module called DAQ is available in otStudio.
DAQ is a server that is connected on the high speed USB channel (not the virtual serial) which takes and interprets various requests, such as the display of an image or the plot of a graph.
In practice, once our program has been developed, DAQ is launched by selecting the right USB peripheral, while from the console, connected on the serial line, it is possible to execute the desired commands.

In this way it is possible to do all our elaborations and at the same time we can easily view them on the same desktop used for development.
Note that copies of internal data are sent to the desktop.

Below are link to several examples of use.

In the first example Sharduino+ uses the TIZIANO camera equipped with a 1280x1024 image sensor.
Some simple commands are implemented.
In the next image, the screen showing the test phases ...
If you look at the commands typed in the terminal window we see:

ni 512 512 10 1 Which means: creates an image buffer in the memory of the embedded and on the desktop of 512x512 pixels consisting of a stack of 10 to 16 bits

grab 1 Which means: grab (10 see above) the images and display them on the desktop

The above source does not use the otDAQ class available in the Sharkduino+ library to make the dynamics of the program easier to understand.
